Spring Break fun

Our Spring Break was a pretty fun time. I have to admit I really loved being able to sleep in and get up whenever I felt like it! We really didn't have a whole lot planned so it made the days nice and relaxed.

Rhyan has a book called Mouse Cookies & More Treasury; it's the If You Give a Mouse a Cookie series. In the book there are many different recipes you can try. Rhyan has really wanted to make the chocolate mud muffins (courtesy of If You Give a Moose a Muffin). We tried them out and they were pretty good! The kids really enjoyed licking the batter from the bowl (no eggs!) as you can see by the picture....

My friend, Kami gave me a recipe for really cute bunny cupcakes. Rhyan and I decided to give them a try...although they were really messy to make!

Here's the final product of our cupcakes. We took them to Grandma Debbie's house, who had invited us over on Saturday for an egg-dyeing party.

Rhyan was really excited to dye Easter eggs this year. She could not stop talking about it!

All of the kids (even Blake & Hunter) dyed the eggs, and had a really good time!

In between coloring eggs, Hunter & Blake played a few rounds of pool with Papa. Blake managed to find time to pose for the camera.

On Sunday, the kids & I got up nice and early for the 8:00 church service. When we got home, they each opened their Easter baskets before we headed off to brunch at The Elks. Yummy!

I always try to get a picture of the kids together on each holiday. They, of course, could not be serious and had to have a couple silly pictures.

Hunter got some silly string in his easter basket so he ran outside to try it out. Here he is acting like Spiderman...

After brunch, we headed over to Grandma & Papa's for a fun easter egg hunt. Hunter helped Rhyan find 22 real eggs, 5 plastic ones, and a few treats from Grandma & Papa.

Even Blake found a few treats especially for him!

The boys had to act goofy when I tried to catch them in the act of being nice to their sisters (helping them look for eggs)!
