Trip #1 to the Pumpkin Patch

Hunter, Rhyan, and I went to Schell's Farm in Toppenish last Sunday (Chad was stuck at work). We met my sister & her family, my parents, and my sister's in-laws. We had a great time of roasting smores (or delicious hot schmoze as many of us called them), a hay ride, a walk through the corn maze, and going down the slide.

Hunter and Chase helped us out in the corn maze by running ahead to make sure we were going in the right direction. They would run back and tell us which way to go. We were only in there for about a 1/2 hour! Rhyan needed some assistance with walking so Grandpa, Uncle Dan, and Hunter all gave her a shoulder or piggy back ride.

Rhyan found out she could get some laughs by squealing every time she went down the slide. The kids spend quite a bit of time going up the straw just to go down the slide. The highlight of the day was the pumpkin chucking, though: Hunter really enjoyed it but Rhyan needed some help from Grandpa. Chase was the closest to getting a pumpkin in the slot (with the help of his dad) but nobody made it in completely!

We were able to pick out some small pumpkins to put on our front porch. We were going to buy big ones to carve but the kids decided they wanted daddy there to help pick them out!
